RiverTracks Crowdfunding Launch Campaign Video Pitch

Wow!! We are stunned and elated at the generosity of our community. We set out to raise $15 k and are on our way to $60k. There has been so much support we are filled with confidence that the Tweed Valley community recognises we can do better for struggling young people and wants to make it happen! The extra funds raised will help us further establish the program when it starts and make it available to more young people with ongoing paid youth workers once we know the model works. If we raise a bit more we will even be able to afford a people mover to take the kids on the bush and learning adventures they need! Original post: With 1/4 young people struggling with mental health, 1/5 do not go to school and 28,000 young people are sleeping rough we say we need to do better. RiverTracks believes we can do better. Donate before June 30th and every $1 will be matched by a generous donor! Donate here: https://www.mycause.com.au/page/252304/rivertrackslaunchappeal

RiverTracks and Murwillumbah Scouts Club Working Bee

Yesterday’s working bee at the Murwillumbah Scouts Hall was a great success. The things you can do when community works together! Thanks to Murwillumbah Scouts Club, @Rotary Club of Mt Warning Murwillumbah for the deliscious morning tea and the RiverTracks crew!

We were lucky enough to get a few dry hours yesterday to get a Mountain Bike ride in with some of the boys and their mates down at Wooyung. Lots of fun splashing through mud and sand, a BBQ and even a surprise jumping session at the old quarry.

The RiverTracks youth skills workshop is ready. Thanks to ITV Tweed Community Initiative Funding; many volunteers who helped; community members and businesses for their donations and the scout Hall for letting us use their downstairs space.
