Christopher Rowland

Operations Manager

Christopher has worked for several years in the youth and community sector, both in the city and regional areas. Christopher grew up in the Northern Rivers and is passionate about serving his local community by supporting the young people and their supports to foster positive outcomes all round. Christopher is an advocate for early intervention using a strengths-based approach, focusing on the inherent strengths and resilience of young people to build their confidence and empower them.

Richard Roberts

President & Board Member

Richard is a passionate believer in the capacity of not-for-profit organisations to deliver innovative and carefully tailored services to local communities that particularly fill gaps in community service delivery. He is also an advocate for people from the commercial sphere to become involved in not-for-profit organisations to assist in delivering to them management, governance and organisational growth skills

Professional Qualifications and Community Involvement:

Richard graduated in Commerce and Law at University of Queensland. He has gained extensive commercial experience over 35 years in his professional career, including through senior positions in Queensland Treasury, Hong Kong Bank, Thiess Contractors, REST Industry Super and in a private investment business. These positions have involved fulfilling roles on numerous Boards.

The above roles allowed Richard to gain extensive experience in governance, management, finance and banking, capital raisings, project management and development, infrastructure investment, funds management and facilities management.

Throughout his professional life, Richard has always found time to serve community not-for-profit organisations, including with:

Malcolm Cameron

Owner / managing director of Tweed Landscaping and Gardens, a Landscaping and gardening company based in Murwillumbah and operating in the Tweed Shire.

Professional Qualifications and Community Involvement:

  • Board member of National Trust of Australia (Victoria) 4 years
  • Councillor City of Melbourne (approx 10 years)
  • Chairman of Parks and Gardens committee
  • Member of Finance Committee
  • Chairman of the Royal Park design competition committee and subsequent implementation
  • Director of City of Melbourne Employment Institute. A company set up by City of Melbourne to offer employment to local residents in dismantling the Flemington sale yards. CMEI provided carpentry and business training to employees who re-purposed timber from the yards, made and sold furniture from the timber. CMEI also created a local business hub in the saleyard offices and provided start-up training and support for local small businesses
  • Director of Moomba Festival Pty Ltd. Annual carnival / festival in Melbourne
  • Diploma Australian Institute of Company Directors and am a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Glenys Woolcock

Secretary & Board Member

Having worked and volunteered in the not-for-profit sector for over 35 years, Glenys has developed skills in organisational governance, business & financial management and coaching. The sum of this experience has led Glenys to the strong belief that it takes a village to raise and interact positively with a child in order for them to grow into strong and healthy members of that community.

Katrina Semple

Treasurer & Board Member

Katrina is an experienced Bookkeeping Consultant and registered BAS Agent. Katrina has been providing her valuable services to small businesses in the Tweed and Gold Coast areas for the last two decades. She is community-minded and driven to assist organisations who are having a direct impact in their communities. For the past 25 years, Katrina has volunteered in the capacity of Treasurer on various local NFP boards and has also played an active role in helping new NFP’s get off the ground.

Katrina was drawn to volunteer her time to RiverTracks due to our mission and vision – and is grateful for the opportunity to provide our clientele all the information they need when entering the workforce.

Kerry Pritchard

Board Member

Kerry has a degree in Social Sciences and qualifications in Complex Trauma. She has worked in various community development and community service roles both internationally and domestically. Alongside this, Kerry has held several voluntary advocacy positions, on the boards of VoiceUp, the Alliance for Forgotten Australians and the Wattle Place Forgotten Australians consultative forum. 

Most recently, Kerry has been involved with helping to coordinate the Community Donations and Volunteer Hubs in Murwillumbah in response to the floods. Kerry brings to RiverTracks a personal understanding through her own lived experience, and healing journey out of intergenerational and developmental trauma.

Chelle has worked at Murwillumbah TAFE part time as a student Counsellor and career/education advisor for the past 11 years. Prior to this Chelle was a Counsellor at Murwillumbah High and also did periods of teaching. She is a fine art photographer based at M|Arts, an Arts Collective in central Murwillumbah. Chelle has been very involved in the flood response in Tweed (2017/2022) as both a community member and as part of the It Takes a Town team over five years.

Bill Rowe

Board Member

Bill has been married to Kate for 20 years and between them they are proud grandparents to their nine grandkids. Bill grew up in Western Sydney with two elder sisters.

Joining the Air Force in 1964, Bill completed an Engineering apprenticeship and graduated as an Air Force Maintenance Engineer in Electrical and Avionics. Having served in Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia – at Newcastle and Wagga – Bill attained the rank of Flight Sergeant, instructing in Avionics and Management.

After discharge in 1986, Bill moved to Ballina where he owned and operated a general store. Bill then worked in a bottle shop and fixed white goods before retiring.

Bill has been involved in Lions for 35 years and has received a Bill Tresise Fellowship – Bill Tresise being the founder of Lions in Australia. Having served on the Board for most of his time in Lions, Bill has been President of both Ballina and Murwillumbah Lions Clubs. Bill has also served on the Board of two Rugby Clubs, Tweed Landcare, Fingal Head Coastcare and Fingal Head Community Association.
