The team behind RiverTracks
RiverTracks is led by a dedicated team of youth workers, educators and community leaders. Our board and staff bring decades of experience in youth mentoring, education and community development.

Richard has been President of RiverTracks since its inception in December 2020. He holds Bachelor of Commerce and Law and is also able to draw on experience in leading, shaping and delivering services of leading commercial organisations.
Richard has been involved in charitable bodies for over 45 years including, bush regeneration through Fingal Head Coastcare, arts funding through Friends of the Tweed Regional Gallery and suicide prevention, community housing and aged care.
He’s a strong believer in the capacity of grass roots organisations to deliver innovative and tailored services to local communities.
Richard is passionate about drawing on community support and fostering a team environment to provide programs for young people that are supportive, practical and lead to further education, employment and a better life.

Katrina Semple has been Treasurer of RiverTracks Inc. since February 2023.
She’s a tax practitioner who has supported local businesses for over 20 years and brings both professional know-how and a genuine passion for helping others.
For more than 30 years Katrina has volunteered with school P&C, OOSH, sporting clubs and local projects and serves as President of Murwillumbah CORE Inc, helping people prepare for and recover from severe weather events.
She joined RiverTracks to support young people as they move from school into the workforce, believing that a strong start in youth lays the foundation for a confident and independent adult life.

Glenys Woolcock has been Secretary of RiverTracks Inc. since its inception in December 2020.
She holds a Master of Business Administration (HR Major), Bachelor of Arts (Psychology Major), is a Management Accountant and the President of Horse Whispering Youth Program.
Glenys has worked and volunteered in the not-for-profit sector for over 40 years.
During this time Glenys developed skills in organisational governance, business and financial management, program development and coaching.
She also assists RiverTracks with grant funding processes, budget management and general administrative procedures.
Glenys’ motivation to be part of RiverTracks results from her commitment to nurturing young people’s growth, wellbeing and potential by providing opportunities for skill-building, mentorship and positive engagement in their communities.

Christopher is the Program Manager at RiverTracks. He works with young people from all walks of life and has experience in youth work, film and TV, graphic design and hospitality. Christopher has over 10 years’ experience in youth work and community engagement and support. He holds a Bachelor (honours) in Psychology, Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Graphic Design and is currently completing his Masters in Psychology.
At RiverTracks, Christopher supports and engages young people and their families, developing and running programs, guiding youth workers and building community connections.
He grew up in the Northern Rivers and benefitted greatly from youth programs. Christopher is passionate about strengths-based pro-social community action for young people.

Guy is the lead youth worker at RiverTracks where he supports young people aged 12 to 20.
With a Diploma in Counselling and more than 3 years’ experience in youth work and student support, Guy is passionate about empowering young people and promoting mental health and wellbeing.
He’s all about creating a safe, judgment-free space where young people can be themselves, build confidence and discover their potential.
Through trusting and genuine relationships, Guy aims to walk alongside each young person as they grow, learn and find their own path forward.

Maya Campos-Bray has over 15 years of experience supporting children, young people, and families. She has experience in youth work, family support, maternal health, and targeted early intervention. Maya holds a Bachelor of Midwifery from the University of Technology Sydney and has worked with the Australian Red Cross Young Parents Program and Weave Youth and Community Services supporting young parents, children, and families experiencing complex challenges.
Working as a midwife gave Maya firsthand insight into the impact that early support, safety, and connection can have on mothers, children, and families. This experience sparked a strong commitment to supporting families experiencing vulnerability, hardship, and social isolation, and shaped her approach to relationship-based, trauma-informed care grounded in compassion and respect.
At RiverTracks, Maya supports young people and families through practical, relationship-based work focused on connection, wellbeing, and confidence building. She is passionate about creating safe and inclusive spaces where young people feel seen, heard, supported, and given opportunities to thrive.

Steve hails from a small town in the North of England. He studied at the University of Kent in Canterbury and Brighton Polytechnic to become a P.E. Teacher.
Steve moved to Australia in 1989 via way of China. He taught EFL in Sydney then relocated to the Snowy Mountains for a job at the Challenge Foundation.
Steve taught Special Needs in Monaro High School for 5 years before leaving Education to work in Landscaping. He established his own building and carpentry business in Sydney with a Cert 4 in Building from Master Builders of NSW.
Steve has lived in the Northern Rivers for 6 years, working with RiverTracks since it’s early days. Steve is now an integral foundation of RiverTracks combining his Education and Building experience to help create the best possible learning environment for the young people of RiverTracks.

Lilia brings 25 years of global communications and strategy experience to the RiverTracks board.
Currently an Associate Director at The Shape Agency, she specialises in government relations and advocacy, having advised Australian ministers on critical policy portfolios including mental health and youth diversion.
Complementing her public sector work, Lilia has led international internal and external communications strategies for complex global corporations in Europe and the UK, including GKN Automotive and Nissan Europe, working directly with CEOs and boards to navigate large-scale change and corporate transformation.
Lilia’s extensive background in supporting youth-focused not-for-profits directly aligns with RiverTracks’ mission to empower vulnerable youth.
She is committed to leveraging her multi-sector expertise in storytelling, strategy, and stakeholder engagement to help young people in the Northern Rivers build confidence, develop practical skills, and find a meaningful path forward.

Bill Rowe is a board member at RiverTracks. He began his career in the Air Force in 1964, completing an engineering apprenticeship and serving as a Maintenance Engineer.
Over two decades, Bill served in Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia, attaining the rank of Flight Sergeant and instructing in avionics and management.
After leaving in 1986, he ran a general store in Ballina before later working in retail and appliance repair.
Bill has been a member of Lions Club for 35 years, both on the board and as president at both Ballina and Murwillumbah clubs. He’s also held board roles with two Rugby Clubs, Tweed Landcare, Fingal Head Coastcare and Fingal Head Community Association.
He is passionate about initiatives that strengthen communities and support young people.

Lyn brings extensive educational leadership and community experience to the RiverTracks Board. A former school principal, she has dedicated her career to helping young people reach their potential through inclusive, values-based education.
Passionate about youth engagement and wellbeing, Lyn has collaborated with families, educators and local organisations to create supportive environments where students thrive.
Since retiring from the Department of Education, she has mentored new principals and developed the Aboriginal Educators Support program at Tamworth TAFE.
Lyn continues to tutor “at risk” students, reflecting her lifelong commitment to empowering youth through learning and connection.
As Kingscliff Probus President, she remains actively involved in her community, bringing insight, compassion and leadership to RiverTracks’ mission.

Adam is a RiverTracks board member. He’s been a chef for 30 years and with his partner Kasey, owned a successful restaurant for 6 years. Adam is passionate about food, cooking and passing on his knowledge of hospitality.
With a certificate IV in training and assessment, Adam has employed and trained many apprentices, with a focus on helping disadvantaged young people obtain the skills to develop into confident young adults.
Adam spent over 12 years with Murwillumbah Cricket Club, including 7 years as President, and has also held leadership roles with Tweed District, Ballina District, and Far North Coast cricket associations. He was also a board member of Murwillumbah Chamber of Commerce.
Adam connects with local businesses and the sporting community to grow awareness and engagement to benefit the youth in RiverTracks’ programs.
