Hands-on youth programs
in the Northern Rivers
Our programs are designed to build confidence, skills and a sense of purpose in young people. Our approach is strengths-based: we meet each young person where they’re at, focus on what they’re good at and help them grow from there.

Programs to spark disengaged young people
All programs are FREE for young people. Programs are currently located in Murwillumbah and surrounds. Young people from Northern Rivers and neighbouring regions are welcome to get involved.
All programs are facilitated by qualified youth workers trained in trauma-informed care and include: emotional check-in to start the day; breakfast and lunch; practical trade skills workshops; and social leisure activity in nature to finish each day
Job Experience Training
Our JET program is all about helping young people prepare for work, apprenticeships or further study through practical training and mentoring.
Get on Track program
The Get on Track program is a flexible, hands-on alternative to classroom learning, where young people learn practical trade and life skills.
Big Picture program
In partnership with the ‘Big Picture’ program at Murwillumbah High School, we run a trade skills workshop for students as part of their school curriculum.
RiverTracks’ programs are designed for high-school-aged youth who need extra support to:
